I'm sure that many of you have seen the Ferrari 312 PB engine build video. Although that one is gas powered and this one isn't, a very impressive display of ingenuity, craftsmanship, and pure talent. My favorite part is when he's making the crankshaft on the lathe. Pure genius.

If watching that doesn't make you at least smile, see your physician and check for a pulse.

Who needs chrome anyway I'm a little disappointed that with all those stacks and fuel lines and distributors, there's only one alternator! Singitwithme! "One is the loneliest number ..."Porsche 917 spyder with the one off 16 cylinder motor. never raced. this was to be the next evolution of the 12 cylinder motor. instead competition department went to turbocharging the 12 cylinder motor=917/10. 16 cylinder motored 917 chassis spyder car went to the factory museum where it sits today.

Yes to all the above....a 10 second altered bracket car would be cool. The challenge with a gasser is trying to just make it go straight. http://youtu.be/AGyDeR7ujPU

Or some of this... Jim, I'm guessing these photos were taken at the Donut Cruise in Huntington Beach, would that be correct?

late '36 block; '34 heads; pre-war block-script Weiand manifold; Deuce brakes (mechanical), front axle, and wishbones; '37 transmission; Kelsey-Hayes accessory wheels; NOS '40s Allstate and Atlas tires.
This is the way a kid would've built a hot rod prior to December 7, 1941. A real gow job.
