Jim & Diane Holmes visited for dinner last Saturday and brought over a couple of old pics from the early '70's... a trip to Oak Glen to pic apples.  Ah, the good old days.... Grin

Jim, what was the music for you in those days....

cheers guys!
from this perspective/angle i could do with slightly smaller rear tyres when i've worn out these.

Died, are those 6" wheels on the back? If so, what size tire are you thinking about for those?

You're' lucky... I'd love to have 5½" 15" alloys all around on my car, eventually. Excellent tire size choices, too. Not too big and just right.

now i did find some yokohama DOT street tyres in that size. i did some research and found out they were popular with the 914 and 911 guys. Wink

Found this photo on the net.
It appears to be be a photoshopped pic of the NSU Beetle prototype "slammed on earlies".
Personally, I would like it lowered in the front with Magnesium BRM's and M+H slicks !

Would love to see those 911 steel wheels on the back of a Cal Looker and a set of standard width ones for the front.

In addition to being wider, they look like they are now bigger than 15" diameter, too.  Could be the picture playing tricks.

Right-hand drive! A true Brit street rod.  Jag IRS rear, with one-off uprights etc, and Jag E-type torsion-bar front springing.  The builder, Nick Butler, was a fully-qualified aerospace engineer. All his cars looked the dog's whatsits, but handled superbly. A real craftsman.
