I was just telling Rick Meredith this the other night; for the last year, I've been seeing a lot of Cal Lookers in my area. Tonight, I finally had my Nikon with me on the way to hitting Vans skatepark in Orange. Caught up to this great Oval and gave him thumbs up.

Really dig the single exhaust. Only things I'd change on the car... stock width front beam and put my old FourTuned single quiet pack on. Was hoping to see/hear him open it up, but we had to take different freeways shortly after I shot this.

Good to see these cars back on the road, again. All during the nineties till now, all I saw were slammed circus cars with jewelry ("accessories", roof racks, windshield visors, headlight brows, etc.) and gawdy chrome everywhere. Cal Look is much more refreshing. Less is more.

Very cool Tom.  What was the exposure length on this?

Thanks, it was the equivalent of a 30 minute exposure, due to the light pollution I had to do 10 x 3 minute exposures and stack them in photoshop Wink

In the early days of drag racing the bodies were raised to have maximum weight transfer to the rear wheels on acceleration for traction.
