Don't know if you know already, but there is a big new development being proposed for Long Marston, aka Shakespeare County Raceway / Shakey and I can't see a drag strip on the future plans, which is bad news!

sounds like the planners have refused it and forwaded a plan to build near gaydon .

We are heading up there this weekend to crew/spectate, will give the strip a loving hug

Trouble is they will get two refused planning permission from the local planned and then go to appeal, this then goes to the Secretary of State to decide.

With the governments open door planning policy it's only going to be a matter of time before some if not all of the site is designated for housing and once that happens who's gonna want a noisy drag strip in the back garden  

Even if it doesn't get it this time round it will come, let's enjoy it while we can
