Post by: dames on April 25, 2015, 22:55:55 pm the exhaust is from vintage speed but this is going to be swapped for a single quiet pack, I have no more info on the heads as I got the engine second hand it has done 8000 miles and was built by a reputable company. I will try to find out some more and post when I do. Its as much about the look as trying to gain performance.
Title: Re: IDAs could I use them? Post by: Jim Ratto on April 25, 2015, 23:04:16 pm You can use 48IDAs, but be prepared to spend lots of time and $ making them run well- not because of your motor setup, but because the 48IDA is so "adjustable"
Don't be misled that they won't run, they will. Depending on your heads, the first thing to determine is venturi size. The rest of the settings will fall into place once you decide on venturi. The 48 IDA takes up a lot of room in engine bay- making getting to plugs and wires a chore, and sometimes you are limited to what you can do about air filters. Title: Re: IDAs could I use them? I'd do a top end "rebuild", ad 94's for 2187cc, let the compression come up, maybe do a little more headwork depending on what you have now. Will 1.4 rockers work with the 86?
