Hello Mr. Berger,

The black Proformance bug is from Christophe Alias Crazy Mc. Stairs, you know that funny blond guy ho is always hanging around me :P
Just kidding offcourse you know christophe, he bought Stian former engine and build it in his black bug and yes the engine lid is closed and the back seat is still in the car, you will see him next year at SCC or within 3 weeks @Bitburg if you come over.

Das Drag Day was just awesome!!! The best event ever after SCC offcourse! ;) It was so much fun to meet all the guys from France, the UK, the Netherlands and so much more, I've met so nice people... it was a blast! :D
Regarding what Sven said about me.. yeah that's true I'm the professional guy that makes his car run :D and yeah I'm blond :o

I have been following your car for some time and it is among my personal favourites. It just looks KILLER! Hard as a nail. Congrats. How did it perform at DDD? Could you give us a little tech info? What gear box? Rear end set up, rear tires, etc etc.

What a cool week-end..  :)

Could only be there sunday morning since I had to attend a wedding on saturday. But the day was worth it! Always a pleasure to meet everybody from Europe! Not enough time to talk as much as I wanted to with you all!

I did manage a few passes with the 68 and as I did a new pb with the fanbelt on (13.52 instead of 13.59) I removed it and went for a 13.22! Still on very old street tires.. 12' are getting closer :) I think the swap from webcam 86C to FK-87 is also helping, been much easier to get into the mid 13's.. or maybe my driving skills are improving, who knows  :D

Just a quick thanks to all the DAS guys for putting on a great show. It was my first time at DDD and I had heard a lot of good things about it, so my expection was high, which is not always a good thing in my experience, but it was at least as good as I'd been told. There were such a lot of fast AC VW's and great people from all over Europe it really was a weekend I wont forget in a while, even the weather was great! I do hope the event is able to run again next year, as I would certainly like to come back.

We would like to say thanks to DAS for a great weekend, there was a lot of cars pulled up to the starting line the whole weekend, it worked very very good. Thumbs up!

We will be back next year with hopefully more cars!


A special thanks to Udo for helping us with a new ON/OFF main swith, how lucky was that  ;) that you have a brand new one with you - Thanks it was very kind of you.

It was good to meet you too. As I said its allways good to look at your pictures from the shows. I'm sure a lot of the racers will agree, that when you are racing you only get to see a small amount of cars, as you're forever tinkering with your own car, so its good to see what you missed out on, which was quite a lot by the looks of things!

I'll do my best to get it running by 9/10, first of all I have to finnish Sven his gearbox and replace the 2nd pro-ring...
Hopefully I can set my former record on the 1/8 mile... I did at Spa @ the Bug Show a 6.28sec. on the 1/8 mile up-hill racing ;D and than after that run I wanted to set that time and broke that damned rocker! :o

Well it took a while to get my film developed  ;D  Here are my pictures from DDD8

The Wunderwaffe en route to Bitburg, Jelle leading with Donder in tow.

And Donder was just not able to overhaul, a measily 1500 is definitely no match for a 13.2 second car.

In Bitburg we joined up with Dem in his superfast car, a shame he is not able to prove that as he has dragstrip-o-phobia. We had to force him to at least have a look at the other clubmembers racing  ::)

And finally there was Peter (actually he was there from the day before, but that wouldn't fit my time line)

The action was on the strip all day long!

The Mosquito prior to it's 200 meter demise in a lot of white smoke, at least it now has seen the track. Let's hope it is soon ready for more!

Speaking about finishing off American boy racers, not everyone was so lucky, here's fast scrap just before a humongous wheelie and a slow run because someone forgot to turn on the fuel pump :D

The rear set up is really simple... ;D AUTOCRAFT transmition with 3.11/1.93/1.31/0.89 and 3.875 R&P, RLR 1 inch raise kit, new HD spring plates, stock tortion bars unther a shit load of preload and Spax adjustable shocks...Soon replaced by 30mm tortion bars. ;) and offcource long Karpiola axels! ;D

Hehe.. thanks! Stock tortions... you`re indeed crazy  :) Quite similar to my set up except I do have a T1 gearbox. I just dig the way your looks with the fat tires under the fenders.

Really good pictures, its a wonder anyone bothers to go to the shows to spectate any more, you just need to log on here sat back and enjoy!

My favorites the ultra rat's front wheel and disc combo just looks great under the split rounded wheel arch, and the red 67 ragtop with OG BRM's, well that's about as close to perfect as I could imagine really. Better still the view when I poked my head out of the car window each morning included both of them! What a great weekend it was! Fingers crossed for next year.
