OK -- It's story time -- Here's mine

Hey, I finally got a job after 7 months -- but that is another story

So any way -- I've got a couple of young ricers bragging about their wing mobiles today and I have to chime in and tell them that they don't know what fast is -- (one had a high 13 street car) -- so I whip out the smart phone and pulls a picture of the Fiat at the Panic -- all shined up and cruising --

[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

and they start looking at me like how can that match box be fast -- and then I whip up the picture of the giant wheel stand at barona --

and one of them blurts out "How the hell do you get your car to do that?Huh" and my reply was "big HP and a light car, works everytime." Then one of them says "I've dyno'd over 300 HP and my car won't do that!" then IT HITS ME -- "it's rear wheel drive bubba, it's rear wheel drive" --

a whole freaking generation of front wheel drive dildos are upon us gentlemen.

Nice!  Reminds me of something I experienced a year ago.

I attended something called "the day of the classic car" in my little hometown of Sandefjord. I was at the time driving the SCC promotion bay window, and was showing the SCC 2008 movie to let people see what a hot VW can do.
People would stop and check out the racing and I was answering questions and handing out stickers. During the course of the day I spotted a guy that stood out a little. It was a young guy, about 18 years old. He wore worn out jeans and no shirt... the lower arm said VOLVO in capital letters (a favorite among hillbillies around here) and suddenly he said to me:
"There are some real fast bugs around here" he said...
"Alright?" I said...
"Dad raced against against one of these damn bugs... that didn't end well"...
"okay?"
"Porsche turbo engine!" he said with eyes rolling...
"In the bug? I asked...
"yes!!"
"I don't think I ever have seen that bug" I said...
"The front screen says Bridgestone" he said...
*GONG!*
"Sure it didn't say Firestone?" I asked..
"You are right, it said Firestone"
"That was me... but it's a tuned bug engine, not a Porsche turbo... what kind of car does you dad drive?"
"You have probably seen it before... through town... sixty-eight... Charger!"

A funny thing I found out after this, was that his father always presents his car in the same way... "You have probably seen it before... through town... sixty-eight... Charger!"
