Title: Widest rear tyre on long swing axle bug? Post by: Rob E on April 03, 2019, 13:54:49 pm I have some original empi 4 lug 4.5inch sprintstars, and wondered what the widest rear tyre i could use without it sticking out beyond the wing/fender?

Post by: Neil Davies on April 04, 2019, 18:26:16 pm Hi Rob, with the 4.5s I wouldn't want to go too wide, 185 is really going to be the maximum you can fit on the rim, depending on make. I had 165 Avon Turbosteel tyres on the back of my Ghia on MWS 8-spokes (5.5") and the sidewall bulged nicely. Firestone F560 165s on my last set of 4.5 Sprintstars just looked skinny.
