Bates, you've got great taste in brew. The only one that was a tad too strong for me was back in the '80s. EKU-28 from Kulmbacher Brauerei AG in Kulmbach, Germany with an 11% a.b.v.

I ended up liking it a lot. Especially when I tried it years later, when I was older. When you're young, good tasting bier isn't as important. HAHA!! But still... it's an acquired taste and not for the meek (read: U.S. mainstream beer fans).

This weeks sucks for me. Only brew I'm drinking is my morning green, black, or white tea and during the day and night; water. Too broke to buy barley pops. Started a new job two weeks ago and waiting for my first paycheck.

Arrogant Bastard on tap from the Laughing Clam restaurant. I drank all the Double Dead Guy Ale they had so the next strongest was Arrogant Bastard.

Leafer Madness IPA from Beer Valley Brewing, Ontario, Oregon. Delicious, scrumptious, delectably hoppy beer. 9.0% ABV

I'm broke... so no exotic brew for me this weekend. Just got a 12-pack of dark Dos Equis.

Total Domination India Pale Ale from Ninkasi Brewing (Eugene, Oregon) Unfiltered 6.7% ABV and very delicious. Extremely hoppy but super smooth. It's like magic in a bottle.

I have met my match and it is called Dogfish Head 120 Minute India Pale Ale. 21% ABV and 120 IBUs. I drank this one 12oz bottle over a 45 minute period and it got better as it got warmer. If I popped open another I don't think I could find my bed. It made my wallet a bit light too, $9.50 for a 12oz. bottle. Definitely a beer to beat ALL beers.
