while torquing up the scat gland nut, i heard some "crack" at the end... i hope it was the wrench.... Is it possible to break these gland nuts or crank? Check the gland nut. I use Berg gland nuts w/o no problems.

Beside, it would be loose if it broke because it will immediately loose its torque. I have, in order to get my wedgemate to mate, used 2000nm on a Scat nut once without any issues at all and the same crank is in my engine today. 650 - 900nm is quite common as far as I know.

Usually with a press fit on you will get a "PING" - "CHING" or "BONK" sound :) when flywheel is where it should be. To make the job easier you can take a hammer and knock on the 38mm pipe, then try the wrench, knock again, wrench.. you get my point.
