You could hit up Van Nuys Blvd on Wed  before Classic, you would get a bit of what it was like in the 70's.  Irwindale on Thurs. is always great. Fri @ Vee dub parts open house , then Lenny's West Coast Classic's, Then head over to Nick's.  Sat  Octo & whatever else is happening ,then go bowling in the afternoon.   There are many shops in the area,  Heads Up, GBE ect.  If you want to head into LA  you could go to the Peterson museum, Hollywood is nearby there is lots of interesting things to see there.  Have fun  see you there  Bill

Bowl-a-rama on Saturday!
The problem with Bowl-A-Rama is that it pretty much excludes everyone but a small circle of folk who were brought up with experience of, or access, to bowling. It's far more of a specialist Yank thing, whereas the good old rallies were fun whether you knew the area and had a chance of winning or not. They were a great place to see a ton of people, cars on the street and food/beer at the end. But the bowling deal only appeals to a relatively small crowd. Shame... Just my 2c.

Have fun playing skittles anyway!  Smiley

Keith, you need "The Team Wales Bracket Race Bowling" experience!
Dial in what you think your score would be, and the closest to their score at the end is the winner! Just because someone can bowl in the 200's doesn't mean that the kid bowling 60's will lose... Wink It's great fun and gives everyone a chance! Smiley

Hey Keith, most of us REALLY suck at bowling. I bowl about once every 4-5 years... just enough to remind me why I don't bowl.  Grin

It's just an excuse to hang out and drink adult beverages!

We've done street bowling... All you need is a steeply inclined paved street and a rental bowling ball purloined from a local alley.  Grin Grin

Anybody from western Norway (i.e., Bergen) going to attend the Classic? If so, please let me know as I have a favor to ask of you.

Thanks!
