Runs with Scissors

« on: May 29, 2008, 00:51:24 am »

I am getting ready to run a new hard line in the pan. I am planning to use seamless stainless 3/8 tubing. Is there any specific stainless alloy and wall thickness I should use?

Thanks,

Louis,

I just recently installed my fuel line through the tunnel as well. I purchased my fuel line from jegs. Here is the link http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/63036/10002/-1/757155%7C10019.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks. Looking at the kits though, they use Aluminum line. I was hoping to use stainless steel. Though Alum would probably work fine. I will give it some thought.

Al is far easier to bend.  I see no reason to use SS.

I ended up going with 3/8 .035 316 seamless stainless steel tubing. I got the AN fittings, 6 AN, from HotrodVW from the other forum. It is a little more expensive but it will outlast the rest of the car. Once I get the line run I will post some pics. Thanks to everyone who gave input.
