soooooo  Grin

u essentially turned ur motor more into a "cammed porsche  reving into cam"  characteristic?

thats one interesting data Jim!   good stuff right there..

now i wonder...   howsit gona be if u topped the compression a tad bit more... and would that 'suck' more and prolly give a stronger signal thru the carbs.. give u more of what u kinda lost?  wonder if it would gain even more top end

interesting..

a snappy midrange, peaky motor... hahaha thats one hard combo to do

the CR is already a little high in the car, imo. Next time motor comes out it may get a smidge of deck. If i were to raise CR I'd cam it up more too. FK87.
It's still snappy, it just happens a little higher up the rev range. Didn't change vents.

hahah those are the old days, I have a new reason not to sleep now... a 15 month old named Lucas  Grin
drove the car briefly yesterday after dialing in new linkage and I am happy with the changes. Took it out for a 45 min romp, but again, 100F+ out, so not a good day for foot to the floor comparisons. With the locked distributor, I think the CR will get lowered to 9.3:1 if anything if I ever take this one apart..... again, the "Lucas factor" Grin

Jim, how do you feel about Lucas Lights?

is that a beer?

Should I have named my son "Hella"?

he's already itching to get in the car. He'll stand in kitchen and fiddle with door to garage. Then if he gets out there, he goes straight to driver's door and starts grabbing for handle. He also does a dance to the beat of my car idling. Good Boy. Cool
