Title: New crank-journals
Post by: airstuff on April 17, 2008, 13:30:03 pm
Here is my new Chinese 82mm crank :)I think it has some issues to be  solved. On some main bearing journals, and on some rod journals there are som slight schratches, maybe from transport or while beeing balanced.

Of those ,only two can be felt with the nail.I think I would get the journals micropolished,or cut to the first undersize then polished, just to be safe of any trouble, when the crank is in.

Take it to a machine shop and ask if they can be polished out before you go cutting the crank.
