The options I have are:

Short cofap oil
Short KYB (gas?)
Short Empi (oil?)

any experiences with them?

I use the short cofaps and I'm quite happy with them.

You only need short shocks if your car is lowered heavily without dropped spindles, otherwise stock length is fine.

mmmmm yes I do need them  Grin I am in the process of lowering it right now (adjustable beam), till now I was using period gas shocks (DeCarbon)which will be too long (and hard!) for the lowered front
