i was going through some stuff and came across a set of CT (logo is C (lightning bold) T) ida manifolds i picked up at SCC last year (they look much like empi's) and so far i haven't got much info about them or the company

does anyone know more?

CT = Conversion and Tuning

Generic British performance accessory company from 1960s & '70s. Produced many different manifolds and carburettor kits for large range of cars, especially Minis and Fords.  :)

any relation to speedwell and empi? as i must assume that 48 IDA's were scarce even in england in the sixties and even the seventies...

No relation at all. We used 48IDAs on our rallycross  Beetles in early '70s. CT used to just copy any other manifolds available.

I have the same manifolds for IDA and they are a copy cat of the Empi globe manifolds.
