hi guys,
how are the rings on the (brazilian i think) mahles ?
are these good / bad/ should i toss them? in favor of others?

that all depends on exactly what you expect from them, i've built many engines from stockers to 2110cc using the standard mahle rings with great success, but if you are going to rev the shit out of something then i'd rec. using total seal rings, thats what i use in my 1914 which gets, regular blasts to 8000rpm and more,

hi guys,
so what makes the total seals better?
i heard of them never really breaking in...
is it because the dynamic CR is too high in high revs that the mahles maybe give blowby?
i m maybe thinking too theoretically :D
i ve seen that the second ring is changed in favor of a total seal, but when is it needed?
i plan on revving to about 7500..
