how is everyone coping? i tried to find a map on where the fires are. can anyone elaborate? I hear if you were to drive the perimeter of the burn area, it would be a 150 mile trip... God bless the Firefighters, first responders, etc that are involved in these disasters... The Fires are redundant though, there will be one next year and probably the year after that. Maybe Arnie will use some of the infrastructure stimulus and put a sprinkler system grid in all of southern California. ;)

We go thru the high fire risk areas like La Canada/Flintridge several times a year. At some point in time you have to ask...Why do people live here? It burns they rebuild...It burns they rebuild. Same for Malibu Canyon etc, etc. I don't have the answers, just questions. :( The fire line on this thing is huge. Gotta be one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) L.A. county fires. They're saying that it won't be contained till September 15th. That's a rather scary statement. I hope they get it done before that.
