Post by: speedwell on September 11, 2009, 21:26:04 pm
...racecar to show the way of the nostalgia look and also the man who was behind the project : uncle keith

in 97 who was talking about the old racecar , the Bible was recently for sale, and keith made us the flashback a nostalgia racer with a resemblance in inch pincher too  , but in this time, nobody still spoke about the nostalgia look, I think that flashback would still be on tracks nowadays if she wasn't sale
keith have you regretted the car ???

i never seen the car in real , indeed in black at lege cap feret at super vw nats

I think uncle keith said himself once "that car was 10 years ahead of its time" I just don't think many people REALLY got it :)

It was ahead of it's time back then, but loads of people got it too. KS got a standing ovation at the pod when he saved it from going into the rail after a huge wheelie. He got out and took a bow 8)

I got it. My roof-chopped nostalgia gasser came out in primer in 2000 and in paint in 2001, 13" front wheels and everything! ;)

Flashback did look fantastick just in plain black with BRMs too, but the green flames just didn't do it for me! :-[

What size tyres you think worked well on the 13s?

This takes me back... :(

Front tyres were 155x13 – seemed to look about right and offered some reasonable grip.

I used a Bridgestone (I think!) 165x13, but my front wheels were a bit wider! They're on the front of Rob Kilham's (East Coast Manx) bronze buggy now.

And probably still the same tires knowing Rob :D :)

They should be! I bought them new in 2003ish when I changed from the 13" 8-spokes to the 13" Saco rims. They had a 155 at the tyre place but the sidewall just looked too new. :)
