Thought itd be cool to share what Im up to, and see if you guys have any ideas on how to make my GTV better.
My 71 was a daily driver for 3 years before I decided to tear it down and make it my dream bug. We hit a few snags along the way, but I assure you it looks great... Keep reading. It wasnt a sunroof car, and I had way too much sentiment for my car so we did a complete roof graft. I opted to go back with the original L54D Marina Blau. I also had some real nice hood badges made up for my local club that fit perfectly onto the stock emblems pedestal. Thankfully there werent any pits or creases in the metal to keep them from looking smooth. They look PERFECT. I bought this set from a gent up on thesamba, and they are great quality. I was very impressed with what showed up inthe package. Then had them ceramic coated clear. They look great, the black came out a bit more glossy than Id have liked, but They still look sweet. I know its bigger than what wouldve been in a GTV, but I had to make some attempt to keep up with a few local bugs and thier 2010's.
