I think the porsches and the Beutler vw bus are the most interesting things...
Title: Re: SWISS JUNKYARD AUCTION Post by: Lee.C on September 12, 2009, 14:28:17 pm I didn't realise just how many splits there were :o
Title: Re: SWISS JUNKYARD AUCTION Post by: vwcab on September 12, 2009, 20:38:54 pm I didn't realise just how many splits there were :o And all that other stuff........ :o :oTitle: Re: SWISS JUNKYARD AUCTION Post by: Luftkraft on September 21, 2009, 14:04:53 pm It's a shame. The authorities were/are just way too stupid to save that unique place... they'd even make money with it! Well, it's history now, the cars will be picked up this week by their future owners. Sad. For the record: Two third of the 800 cars were sold.
btw. It ain't a Beutler bus, it's an Auwärter. Title: Re: SWISS JUNKYARD AUCTION Post by: TOM / EINHEIT 11 on September 22, 2009, 14:22:35 pm SOME LAST PICS BEFOR FINAL COUNTDOWN :'(

Title: Re: SWISS JUNKYARD AUCTION Post by: danny gabbard on September 27, 2009, 00:43:56 am Somebody had quite the collection! Was it sold by the car or one unit? How much
Title: Re: SWISS JUNKYARD AUCTION Post by: Luftkraft on September 28, 2009, 09:33:03 am The cars were sold one by one... almost 800 cars. Starting price was 40 dollars, prices went up to 15'000 bucks for a restorable Mercedes 190SL Roadster, a lowlight Ghia went for 4000 bucks, but the average price was around 1000. For some of the cars, the price was ok, but for some just ridiculous... but each to its own, I guess.
