Title: trumpet style tailpipe for DQP's question.
Post by: wolfswest on October 03, 2009, 18:51:53 pm
Hi guys,

Played around this afternoon with Jelle and we installed his dual quiet pack on my car instead of the A1 style muffler.  I love it, but one thing could be better.  It's a bugpack model, but unfortunately the bugpack models don't have "trumpet" style tailpipes...  What would the cheapest way be to put trumpets on them?

Anybody else done it before?  ???  tips and tricks around here?

Dem

Cheapest way is to flare the pipe yourself. It's just a matter of forcing a cone down the end of the pipe, I found a piece of stainless tube and did it in my press and then welded it on the muffler.

apology for making this thread up. but i need help for my tail pipe. i dont know if this is the right place to post this one but im hoping. one of the tail pipe (http://www.racepages.com/parts/tail_pipe.html) on my stock exhaust has dropped down. I have pushed it back up and secured it with some wire as a temp fix. It looks like the weld on the bracket has broken. Is a replacement exhaust box needed or can the bracket be welded back on? thanks in advance!
