Yersterday arrived....
1962 sunroof notchback, 58.000km, first paint, one owner, stored since 1981, perfect interiour, minimum rust... but wrong color!

Progress...

Engine and gearbox went out. There is just surface rust. Sandblasting will follow soon!

All my NOS bumper parts are now - just 2 bumper's. :D
But every part is NOS...

The car was stored in 1981 - before we put salt on the road's here in germany. It was driven for 19 years and stored for 28 years...  :D
That's the secret of the good condition  8)

Today the correct front apron was welded in and the small holes at the end of the rockers were closed. Welding is finished! :D

I don't think so. It's two week's before the vowo show. And i will be into my garage to assemble the Gulfnotch. I hope it's not another 'last minute rush'... :o
Let's meet us at vowo weekend to get the missed belgian beer and french fries... ;)

Looking sweeeeeet Mario! I really dig that colour. Amazing how perfect the water reliefepipe/area of the sliding roof looks never saw that area in that state.

Next step is to modify the engine bay. The carb's are too close to the metal at the left and right of the tight 62 engine bay.

Type 3 stuff doesn't usually excite me, but this car looks GOOD!  Not overstated, everything works together nicely.
