Title: Re: thought you've seen it all? Post by: Rennsurfer on November 03, 2009, 01:47:08 am A Bertone? No loss, there. I worked at a VW dealer in Norwalk back in the '80s as a Service Adviser. We actually sold those things. Bizarre little cars that were always in the shop. Drove more of 'em than I care to remember. Thanks for the cruel memories, Jim.

Thanks for the cruel memories, Jim. ;D yeah but did your dealer have this special edition? I think it was a towing package or something. I owned a 1982 X19 for a good while and I liked it. It was a dependable, economical and fun little car. Only real problem was the handbrake wasn't very effective. There's a story about that....later. Title: Re: thought you've seen it all? I can remember seeing a a MGB hard top mounted on a To#¤ta 4x4 chassis that was jacked up about five feet off the ground.

I can honestly say that I've only seen people do that crud to El Caminos in So Cal. Title: Re: thought you've seen it all? Post by: javabug on November 03, 2009, 05:16:23 am That totally works.
