Title: Aluminium made dull? Post by: Eddie DVK on November 10, 2009, 11:34:56 am Hi,
Maybe a strange question but how can I make shinny aluminium dull without scratching? Kind Regards Edgar Title: Re: Aluminium made dull? Post by: jamiep_jamiep on November 10, 2009, 12:13:56 pm Anodise it, acid etch it, or if you're really careful media blasting (depending on what it is and how well it would stand up to being blasted - I would say this is a bad idea on anything other than cast parts).

Post by: 71CALRIPPER on November 10, 2009, 12:31:50 pm easier way, folks that do jewlery etc use a chemical ( name will come to me) they spray it on and then polish the areas to bring it back to a shine. Its perfect i tested it on a BRM made it look royaly fucked but was cheap and really easy to use.
Rob Will get the name for you Rob Title: Re: Aluminium made dull? Post by: andy M. on November 10, 2009, 13:33:30 pm Just do what we do here, leave it out in the rain! although your time scale requirements may force you into using the more high tech solutions above
