I believe that orange GTV car became the Race Shop car later on..... The one that Paul Kenny restored and is now at Flat 4.

cool shit, geoff. seeing the revmaster drag car was the coolest. The thing I remember most about its feature in VW Trends; "it sounded like tearing canvas."

I've had an original copy of that on 16mm film for years.
I love the announcers voice.

Title: "Wild wild Wagons" DVD
Post by: filmclip on December 08, 2009, 03:56:44 am
Hi,
I'm glad to see that you are enjoying the film!

Anyone who wants a DVD of the film can have one for $9.99 +shipping
The original film has faded to pink/red and I did what I could to correct the color without spending a couple of thousand bucks on professional color correction.

I have one other VW film in my 16mm film collection and it's one-of-a-kind.
It is silent, original/raw camera footage for a promotional film that never was completed.
The footage has great color and was shot in the 60's, in and around Washington D.C. and Baltimore.
There is footage of bugs and buses arriving at the port and being unloaded.
Interior shots of the boat and a parking lot FILLED with VW's.
Lots of scenes shot at local dealerships, both in the salesroom and the repair/service department.

I have not posted this footage on Youtube because it's longer than the 10 minute limit.

You can have BOTH films on DVD for same $9.99 +shipping....after all it's the holidays and I'm broke!

Paypal is not only accepted, it's preferred.
