Title: Mounting tire question Post by: danny gabbard on December 07, 2009, 01:20:16 am I'm mounting tires on my two peice 5 spokes, With tubes, Question is cant get a last part of tire to fill out to wheel lip, Or last little bit will not pop out about 3/16 to 1/4 inch about 3-4 inch around wheel only on the front of wheel the rear is perfect. Tube is at max air preasure. I wonder if a tire shop might put some type of tube on outer premeter of tire then inflat tube in tire. I hope that makes a little sense

Title: Re: Mounting tire question Post by: danny gabbard on December 07, 2009, 02:41:52 am I did mount them dry, I thought was to keep moisture out of inner rim area , so you think lubeing tire edge better might get it to slide or slip into place. Just a little scary filling something with alot of air preasure trying to get it to finish moveing where it needs to be! dont want to blow the side of a bolted together wheel. dont need any fricken flying peices of wheel trying to kill me ! Ya call me a pussy

Problem solved. You don't want silicone (WD-40) on your tires, unless you hate them.
