Title: baseline jetting suggestions for my new engine.
Post by: Sam K on December 17, 2009, 02:54:46 am
I'm almost done putting this engine together and would love some jetting advice. I've basically built it out of leftovers from other projects. Here is what I've got:

1776 cc
C/W crankshaft
stock rods
12.5 lb flywheel
balanced rotating assembly
Engle 110 camshaft
044 heads (40 X 35.5 valves) that have had some decent port work done
heavy duty single valvesprings with hardened keepers, titanium retainers, solid shafts, swivel feet, chromoly pushrods
8.3 to 1 compression
regular style header with heater boxes and a "turbo" muffler
009 with a pertronix
weber 40 IDF carbs

This is going into my wife's type 181 and is intended be nice "driver" engine. I should also mention that I live in Denver colorado where the altitude is around 5000 feet above sea level. Thanks in advance!
