Title: Your projects for 2010 ? Post by: Frenchy Dehoux on December 28, 2009, 21:16:15 pm Let see what some of your project that you have planned for 2010. Here is my next project which has been waiting for me for the last 7 years or more. 1958 NSU Prinz will have an IRS transmission with 1776 cc engine with the 48 IDA'S with roll bar with the rear apron removable like the early buses so that I can pull the engine straight out. I have talk to Dan at Competition Engineering to start on the rear suspention. Will be posting pictures as soon as I start on it. Thanks Frenchy Title: Re: Your projects for 2010 ? Title: Re: Your projects for 2010 ? Post by: javabug on December 28, 2009, 22:09:44 pm This year's project is saving money for a transmission. And if I get any free time the second half of the year just pick away at little jobs like brakes refurb and tidy up interior.
Title: Re: Your projects for 2010 ? Post by: Rennsurfer on December 29, 2009, 01:23:49 am Frenchy, no doubt, that'll be one nice looking car when you're done. Can't wait to see it.
For me, I hope to get front (wide five pattern) discs up front, a beefed up transmission (love to get a 901, but we'll see), and a bigger engine. In that order, too. Title: Re: Your projects for 2010 ? Post by: Sam K on December 29, 2009, 02:36:39 am It seems like I always have more projects than time or money, but before this summer I plan on installing the 1776 in the wife's type 181 and getting the jetting right on my '67. I'd also like to finish the work my panel bus needs and drive it around a bit.
Title: Re: Your projects for 2010 ? Post by: Dave Rosique on December 29, 2009, 05:13:32 am 2010 already?? Wow! I have too many projects... that I know ;D Anyway, as far as VW's go, I plan on having my Oval running in time for Classic (not painted, just running). This may not sound like much to some, but I've had this car (and the dream) for a long time now, so to me--it's big. On my beloved old Burro, I need to freshen up the engine, transmission, front end and brakes. I'll do my best ;) Title: Re: Your projects for 2010 ? Are you going to bring back the factory looking horn grilles or omit them, completely? Overall, it should prove to be a cool looking car.

I always draw cars lower than they are or should be, they just look better in a front, rear, side or 3/4 view sketch that way ;D I plan on leaving the car at the same height, or only adjusting the rear a bit after I get a set of Firestone Wide Ovals like in the pics. (They may add a bit of height) But I don't plan on going much lower if at all. I love the way it sits now. As for the grills, I'll probably switch them back to stock.
