Title: Re: oil in head question..... Post by: Felix/DFL on January 17, 2010, 00:10:49 am worn out guides could not be detected with an normal compression check thru spark hole.
A little bit leakage at the valve guides is normal as they have no seal as modern cars have...So some dips of oil are quite normal. Let a friend drive behind you and he should look if the exhasut gas is blue shaded. Yust to get it right if it is blue it could even be the rings and that could be detected tru compression check. Another method to check would be to make a plate with an pressureadapter were the manifold normaly sits and close the valve of the prt you want to test an go for it.
