Title: Non leaking pushrod tubes?!? Post by: WheelieNelson on April 11, 2006, 08:34:23 am My pushrod tubes are leaking mad! and i purchased new ones form scat.

Beware of fakes though. Buy from the source or from an authorized dealer like Vee Dub Parts Unlimited (www.vwparts.net)

The other 2 engines I built from scratch with Scat big mouth spring loaded push rod tubes. I am very happy with them. Just make sure to clean the mating surface perfectly and I mean perfectly. On one engine I used Dow Corning silicone grease to seal them instead of Loctite 574 what I normally use. It worked without any problem what so ever. Again make sure the mating surface is thoroughly clean, align the tubes well and make sure to seat it properly.
