Title: New 67 project
Post by: Oldschool on February 14, 2010, 18:10:05 pm
Hi everyone,

I'm just about to buy a european 67 with a decent body, the project is to build a Cal Look in respect with the Traditions.

Here are a few pictures in the state the car is in at the moment (I haven't collected it yet - in early March)

I don't know why it's been dully painted black but the original colour must be Savannah Beige from what it seems under the bonnet.

Plans include filling the holes (trim, horn, indicators), upright fronts fenders, T-bars, Lucas, as far as the interior is concerned there will be a Motolita steering wheel, Berg shifter,  harnesses...

Wheels : Fuchs, I might raise a few eye-brows   :o  but Flat4s, 4,5 & 5,5 with Michelin XZX 155 SR 15 in front and XWX 205/70/15 at rear.

Colour: Savannah Beige, unless I change my mind before the body is going to be painted.

Interior: Motolita steering wheel, Berg shifter 14" or 13" as I got both, Deist harnesses, VDOs...

Body: all holes filled, Lucas, T-bars black or chrome as I got both

Engine plan: 2007/2110cc, IDAs, 044... nothing decided yet as the main focus is the pan and body first, it'll take some time before it hits the road since I have to take care of my family first (wife and 7 1/2 months old baby girl) needless to talk about work (what is that by the way  ;D )

Thanks Eric  ;)

I'll post pictures once I've started the work sinceI'm just collecting parts for the moment  ::)

As you might have noticed I've changed my plans as far as wheels are concerned : Fuchs to BRMs.

The same regarding body work: trims all around, pop-outs.... no Lucas

As I may say : Old School  ;D
