Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: DKK Ted on February 25, 2010, 18:35:30 pm Which ones?
Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: Peter on February 25, 2010, 18:37:20 pm the stainless steel ones?
Yes they fit very nicely Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: Hotrodvw on February 25, 2010, 22:06:09 pm M-Spec is making some saweeeet billet ones. Not too pricey either.

I'm running an Engle 125, and probably 1.25 rockers, so I don't think clearance will be an issue. Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: Kaferdog on February 26, 2010, 00:42:14 am Which ones? Post by: stealth67vw on February 26, 2010, 02:14:59 am Has anybody used these before? Any input?? Can't use stock covers, too much lift. :-\ What kind of lift? I had a Clay Smith 320 with Pauter 1.4s with almost .600 lift on Comp Eliminators with .200 longer valves and the stock covers cleared, even with the bulky billet rockers. I would rather dimple the stock covers than bolt on a inevitable oil leak.http://www.bugpack.com/content.php?id=221 Ted Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: stealth67vw on February 26, 2010, 02:56:54 am No vents, but that's fairly easy if you want the same as pictured.
Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: Jesse/DVK on February 26, 2010, 10:53:48 am But why would you vent the valve covers? ;)
Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: bugnut68 on February 26, 2010, 17:40:44 pm But why would you vent the valve covers? ;) Breather box? I probably won't be running an electric pump, so venting at the case in the fuel pump location isn't a real likelihood. I'll have to find somebody that has a set already done or that can do the welding for me, since I do not possess this skill. Lol. :D Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: Brandon Sinclair on February 26, 2010, 19:16:31 pm This guy offers them with the vents already welded-page down photos on right hand side..
http://www.awesomepowdercoat.com/products.html I think Berg does as well. Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Cool, thanks for the link! Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: 181 on February 27, 2010, 13:49:06 pm it is not about the breather, it is about how you get the clearance for the rockers..

Post by: Dominick Luppino on February 27, 2010, 21:13:30 pm What valve adjusting screws are you using? The only time mine ever hit was when I used the adjusting screws that came with my Scat rockers, I used the BUGPACK shorter screws, and problem solved...
Title: Re: Valve Covers?? Post by: DKK Ted on February 28, 2010, 01:28:23 am Hey Dominic, I'm using Berg rockers with there adjusting screws, BUT, I think I found my problem, my geometry was off, figured it out last night and redid it this morning. fixed the problem with taller lash caps and a reshim, but need to try the valve covers. BUT I still like the idea of the Bugpack race valve covers, now it's for looks. It's kinda Old School Thinking of wrinkle paint them with the polished rib's. Goes with the 3 1/2qt. Berg sump that I got from Berg sometime back that was black anodized with polished ribs. Still in the process.... :)
