Title: CONCEPT 67
Post by: danny gabbard on February 28, 2010, 22:05:43 pm
Pictures of the rockers, I built from scratch, Inner and outer. Now the bottom of door has a gap. inner has no heater vents and all new from front to rear and will be painted body color. All the fenders have been reworked along bottoms for better fit, and exaust openings filled.

The running boards will be built from scratch and I have not got there yet. They will set about half a inch below door, So you can see a little door gap. And I just finished clay modeling the rear scoops behind rear windows. So between them two things will keep me out of trouble. The pan has the same stuff done to it as I did my cow-look car.

Looks sweet...!
I'd go with out running boards.... radius the front wing so it doesn't have the flat area and you're done.

Danny,

Did you fab the rear apron on the project car or redo the 67 apron (metal work)? Also, you running the 67 rear light and license plate piece on the deck lid to cover the vents?  Just curious.

Do you need the small radio blanking trim - I think I have an NOS one in my stash somewhere. Want me to dig it out and send it to you? i don't need it.

Danny.

Nice looking car, and nice front brakes,, what kit is that or did you make special brackets to mount the calipers.??

Cheers

Sorry if I'm getting ahead of the project plans, but are you going to leave the calipers not matching, Danny? The fronts look great black, but the rears look equally as good, natural.

Hi tony they are four piston wilwood calipers and I made a fixture for welding on brackets to spindles. And neil rotors and hats on front and rear.
