Title: Darrell Vittone's A/Modified Compact 67 ....
Post by: rick m on March 06, 2010, 06:08:05 am
Here is another great shot from the early NHRA Modified Compat days.  This is a shot I took at an NHRA Division 7 Points Race at Sacramento, California. Darrell and Dave Andrews were both in attendance with the RACE SHOP on their doors.  Both were running the angle port heads too.  These were sure great times!

That's the coolest car I have ever seen. Any more pics?  Not the magazine either I have that.

Sorry Taylor, only shot I took at this points meet. I got a few motor shots but was conserving film for other shots.

bummer.  Bergs, Dave Andrews, the raceshop '67, Duncan and Nuss, Mike Smith and Roger Crawfords '67s are the baddest NHRA stockers of all time in my opinion.

Yeah, they were some great cars. Roger's 67 was a very nice looking care for a modified compact. Had a typical cal look interior too. I have some great shots of Mike Smiths care from his earlier days. I will have to pull them out and post them.
