SALUDOS THE MEXICAN HOMIE Title: Re: RARE MANIFOLDS! Post by: JLH on March 06, 2010, 09:26:30 am I has the same manifolds as you, and they also come from a set of old 40idf.
But I don't know what kind they are, so I do also want to know what kind these are :) Title: Re: RARE MANIFOLDS! Post by: plasticblack on March 06, 2010, 12:16:10 pm Hi Guys
Those manifolds look just like a set that was fitted to a Beetle I bought in the late '70s. It was supposedly fitted with an Engine built by Autocavan a few years earlier? Perhaps Keith can shed some light on that possibilty? But that said it could have been a 'Bitsa'.. I've never seen Manifolds like those since in UK. I do remember thought that they were not great manifolds and the Aluminum was a bit Cheesy. ;D Title: Re: RARE MANIFOLDS! Post by: Fastbrit on March 06, 2010, 12:30:34 pm Nothing to do with Autocavan, per se, but a generic manifold which, I believe, originated in Germany.
Title: Re: RARE MANIFOLDS! Post by: Ole on March 06, 2010, 17:38:15 pm They are from Italy ;)
(http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/7034/svelto561.jpg) Same on the engine of my Split. (http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/5449/img0942x.jpg) (http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/8677/img0944i.jpg) Saludos, Ole Title: Re: RARE MANIFOLDS! Post by: Fastbrit on March 06, 2010, 18:48:00 pm Good ol' Ole! ;D
