Don't now if I'll get there, hoping to see if the turbo kit I've got will fit without cutting the car this week end

If it does fit then the engine will be coming out for a few bit and bobs , cam change etc and I wont be there

If the turbo kit doesn't fit then it will be a quick freshen up and I'll see you there and I like lots of chilli on my Dog.

We'll be there - it's the last week of Easter Holidays, and I'm going to try to get my old '68 back on the road for Emma to drive there and back. It'll only have a 1500 in it for now through, so no track action for me yet! ;)

Well I got into the garage at the week end to see if the turbo kit I have fitted in the car. Thanks to Martin recommending some CB manifolds that have the carb pattern reversed on the top I am able to get the fuel rails placed beside the fan housing so everything fits into the car without getting the hacksaw out,

So it will be very doubtful that I will be racing that weekend as i have a few things to do now. I will try and come along anyway

I've a few mixed feellings that I wont have the car out that week end but I am looking forward to life on the wrong side of 200HP ;D

got to shakey last night, they've been doing some tarmac work on the entrance roads, much better than last year! There are quite a few bikes but hardly any cars at the moment so anyone racing should get plenty of track time. Weather is very good but it was freezing last night, so bring sun cream and blankets!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for good weather & new pb's all round 8)

Wow , wow and just for good measure wow again . My low 13 run was a total suprise as I spent most of it watching Addle's Buggati Veyron style air brake from behind I knew it was a good run but Wow .
When Steve ,Harvey , and Martin came down and picked up Addle and told me i had to have a little sit down  ::)
Other top thing bout the weekend apart from the top company was blowing the doors off a scooby ( first car Ive beat on a strip ) could'nt be better  8)

You know how i feel about the tens ;) One thing im not sure about is, i hit my shift limit a wee bit before the line which was 7.3k, now not sure if i want to hold out on 3rd any longer as i think theres some left in it , or if the EFI affects that ?!  ???

Adele, your motor sounds lovely on those throttle bodies! really crisp and responsive - they have a unique induction sound, which I really dig! Wicked :)

I keep going over that in car footage  ::) , im quick from first to second and slightly longer to third and then in third longer before changing to fourth, from what i can see im in fourth over the line at 8k ? Normal shifting in the other gears around 7.5k.

Not sure if i seem to be running out of gears, or if the box now needs to change because of the EFI, or am i just talking out of my rear end ?

I cannot hold out any more in first and second and pretty sure im at the limit of 4th ?  ::)

Well Ive learnt cheep CV's dont like launching at 5 grand  ::) the german one's bus and bug are fine , cheepo's are mashed .
Hope that was the clicking noise and why it did'nt want to turn and not the diff  :-\

dont worry, i can get the motor to keep its power to 8000rpm, with i a little loss of low down power (when your in trafic going to tescos will be more of a pain! ;D ) that way you will be able to hold each gear alittle longer, but you are getting to the limits of everything!! rpm,gear,time, ect,ect, but thats when the cars at its quickest :)

you'll get there, some people have tried for years and years to get where you are now in such a short amount of time, its all in the combination.

Im running a home bulit 2165 with a engle 125 streight cut gears /ratio rockers , heads are 42/37 with a good port and polish , weber 48's with a stock pump and 110 dizzy .
Estimated hp around 175 . putting it though a box built by cogbox with all the right bitz ;)
Goona strip the motor down over the winter or when i break it  ::) hope to squeeze close to 200 bhp out of it then .
Busted up my diff last run due to too long a drive shaft's  ::) lesson learnt . hope to have it all back together for Gary's Picnic .
Car feel's strong and I know there's more in it with more seat time  8)
