The MSD and autometer instruments can handel 16v so no problem, but I did my wiring with a step-down modul so that the ignition and the fuelpump, starter got 16v and all the other stuff 12v like normal, this way its easy to put on stuff that can't handel 16v. going to go without alternator. Title: Re: 16V? Post by: Big Power on March 19, 2010, 00:14:49 am I have been running my 7AL2 and gauges on 16 volts for 4 years, no issues. I step the voltage down to 14 volts for my ecu and fuel pump.
