Post by: louisb on March 15, 2010, 22:37:53 pm Just from the pic I am guessing it will need heater channels, front lower door hinge, inner front fender areas (filch panels?), rear window area repairs. I bet the package shelf is shot too. Not to mention a new one year only pass side door. Its up to you how much time vs money you have to put into it. I know I am gun shy about rust after a few really bad experiences with it. It is why I saved up and had a really nice car shipped from a drier area. On the other hand, I have seen some truly amazing things done to save cars in worse shape.

It very much depends on how much you want the car and how much that you're willing to spend on it. When I first looked at the picture, I envisioned it restored to it's former glory, as equipped, but with a mild Cal Look treatment and huge engine. Money and time are the deciding factor. The picture obviously doesn't show all of the damaged components within the vehicle, too. So it could run up quite a bill. Again, ask yourself how much you're willing to spend on it. If not, move on and get something that you're more comfortable with.
