will standard vw shims fit scat rocker shafts? It is a pain in the *ss to shim it correctly, once done on the table and you mount it it CAN differ, so re measure.
I've used one std shim because this was perfect for that amount that needed. Regarding to 5-6-7-8k or whatever, your play between rocker arm and shim should always be correct no matter what. Title: Re: Rocker arm side play/shimming Post by: Type1/DVK on March 31, 2010, 22:42:33 pm according to the cb instruction manual it must be set at 0.15mm, i've got them at best 0.10 or 0.15mm. Also note that the rocker arm must be OFF center of your valvestem (with std rockerarm screws), to give it that rotation.
