Title: Cam question Post by: Sander/DVK on February 25, 2007, 17:42:59 pm Hi, a friend of my has a 1955cc.
The specs are: 90,5x76 041 heads with 40x35,5 44 DCNF with 34mm vents CR is unknown yet, and a Scat C25 cam. 1:1,25 ratio rockers The heads are off the engine, and we concluded that the CR are too low (1:6,4), so that would be changed, dependent to wich cam we gonna use Now, the cam is a Scat C25 and that is too mild I think. Wich cam would you guys use on this engine? Title: Re: Cam question Post by: Zach Gomulka on February 25, 2007, 18:35:51 pm Engle 120, 9:1 compression.
Title: Re: Cam question Post by: Sander/DVK on February 25, 2007, 18:41:49 pm Thanks Zach, but is the W-serie from Engle not a little bit "too old"?
Why not a cam from the VZ or the FK series? Title: Re: Cam question Post by: Zach Gomulka on February 26, 2007, 02:18:36 am VZ cams are hard on lifter bores and they can't be used with your 1.25:1 rockers. FK cams require an upgrade to 1.4:1 rockers for best performance. So the most inexpensive way to upgrade using the parts your friend has, is using the 120 cam with your 1.25:1 rockers. Combined with the increased compression, he will notice a HUGE power increase over the little C25 in there now. If the heads are ported properly, the engine will make great torque and horsepower up to 7,000 rpm. Hows that for an "old" cam?? ;)

Thanks again, Sander Title: Re: Cam question Post by: Sander/DVK on February 26, 2007, 19:25:27 pm i run angle 110 with 1.4 and make over 2oo hopwer with 87m 69m witch is 1835 (yes) its all in the heads and its all good :o Are you sure?? Jim, there's no substitution for displacement, right? :D Title: Re: Cam question Post by: cedorUSA on February 28, 2007, 04:53:40 am im goin by my naybors man, they said its 1835 maybe i made a misteak,
