Title: Red Baron Runs 8.26 in Sacramento! Post by: Stephan S on May 31, 2010, 17:47:06 pm I understand Sunday's Sacramento Bugorama was huge, especially the swap meet. Dang, I couldn't make it... Some updates:
Rumor has it that Pro Mod (which typically attracts no more than 8 cars) had a fantastic 16+ entries! Eric Calabrese's Red Baron ran 8.26 at 177mph (283km/h!) on Saturday and won the class with an 8.27 at 175. That's totally insane. Here is the YouTube video... Allen's, Eric's, and Mike Lawless' cars looked amazing as always-in fact a lot of the cars looked fantastic and I enjoyed watching them go down the track. Checked out all of them comming down the run off road. Those pro mods are bad ass.

Not one, but two cars managed to cross the line at over 175 mph and now the race is on for the first 7 second pass. It will not be easy and the distance from a 8.26 to 7.99 is HUGE. Time, money and the willingness to destroy parts will decide who will be the first car to manage a 7.
