WOW! Lids, that's one seriously cool gasser, right there. THAT'S what I think of when I hear the term, gasser.

My sons and their current rides, even they though they're driving cars.

I still have their VW pedal car in the attic. I'll have to dig it out and get some updated photos of it.

Thanks. We all three ride for Madrid Pro Designs... and the boards are actually modern and made right here in Huntington Beach, So Cal. I designed the huge one and named it El Cochino (means The Pig in Spanish) back in the summer of '05, when I worked at the factory. They make my model, too, which looks like it's from the late '80s.

Here´s Jon staging at VW Open a few weeks ago.
The pedal car is inspired by old front engine dragsters, built of bicycle parts and old steel tube furniture.

you bet they are pretty rare nowadays
I had to look for 8-10 years to find me one again
I was stupid in the early days and sold one to Mark Merrill from San Jose
according to Ray Schubert he still has it and it gets driven on a regular base
that was a 6Volt version, I never found one since then

A few years back a bunch of hot rod shops got together like foose, boyd, brizio and built some 32 ford roadster pedalcars to be sold for auction, Chips was bad ass ! Now I need some pictures of that.

best episode of overhaulin I've watched and I've seen most of them, you could tell that the guy was really into his car 8)

I'd agree with you on a VW but whitewalls are cool on that.  :)

Chip and I did a bike together about 15 years ago while he was still at boyds, We bumped heads a little but between the two of us we did a pretty bitchen bike for the time. But yes he's into cars and one of the best eyes out there.

Right on, Rick... I hear ya. But the older that I get, the more I hate whitewalls on any car, now. To me, they're just too played out and I'm not twenty anymore... so my viewpoint on everything is less is much more. I really dig understated cars (and everything else in my life), these days.

To each their own.

That black car really IS a work of art, though.

Yes It looks great... If I ever do another hot rod, it will be a tub... You can't take a bunch of friends in a roadster

Cool, Lids... but from the looks of that picture, it appears as if the air cleaner and engine would be dangerously close to one's twigs & berries. Great looking ride, though. Dig the suspension.
