Title: Fuel Pumps & Regulators Post by: BeetleJuice on June 11, 2010, 06:14:26 am I have a 2332 with IDA's and have misplaced my Fuel Pump! ??? I suppose that what you get when everything has been sitting around for 10yrs. It was a SU unit which I believe was never enough to feed my previous engine anyway.
What is a good quality pump/regulator combo nowadays? I am running 3/8 inch fuel line too. Not really keen on Holley, would like something Euro myself, but I am open to all options. Is it a better option to have a pump with a built in regulator like my previous pump? I see CB advertise a rotary pump, but an engineering friend of mine doesn't like them. Any thoughts appreciated. dont know if it is the same part as you want to use, but mine had plastic multiposable in/outlets on top. get spares of theses, they tend to break when hoses are pulled of Title: Re: Fuel Pumps & Regulators Post by: BeetleJuice on June 22, 2010, 06:25:53 am Thanks for the info Karl. That has turned me right off about the plastic ends!
Looks like I may go with a Mallory 4070LP. 72GPH free flow and 30GPH @ 4psi. Has an internal bypass set at 4psi. I like that in case of a regulator malfunction! |
