Title: Project Helper: Swing Axle Dolley ??? Post by: javabug on June 13, 2010, 22:35:57 pm I'm going to be replacing my swing axle trans this summer (bank account willing), and while everything is out I want to roll the car outside and scrub/powerwash etc back there. The catch is I have to roll the car out of the garage and into my grass to have it where I need it to do the job, so the ol' floor jack is out.
Been trying to think of a setup bolt to the frame horns so I can move the car easily. Since I am a crappy fabricator/engineer, I'm not coming up with much clever. Anybody got any good ideas? Since this could be of help with projects, thought "In Da Werks" is a good place for it. Title: Re: Project Helper: Swing Axle Dolley ??? It looks crappy but it works fine. You may use it but it will cost a fortune to ship it I think ::) But it's verry easy to make ;D Good luck! Wout Title: Re: Project Helper: Swing Axle Dolley ??? Post by: Shubee2 (DSK) on June 13, 2010, 23:43:53 pm its an easy fix just buy a rear solid trans mount bolt it the the frame horns then get a 10 inch HD. wheel caster from harbor freight of a hardware store you can bolt the wheel to the mount or weld it

Thanks guys. Title: Re: Project Helper: Swing Axle Dolley ??? Post by: louisb on June 14, 2010, 17:58:19 pm Yeah I wouldn't have either. I was thinking of using a piece of angle iron and drilling two holes but that sounds easier.
