Paint was faded and falling off, and many of the car's details were gone. Looks like the "current" owner has made a lot of changes to the engine, exhaust, headliner and wheels. Not exactly a Shaky Jake car any more.... Interesting.

When the car was "fresh" it was on display inside the Auto Haus Costa Mesa store, 1953 Newport Blvd. I spent many an hour talking with Shakey (Chuck) regarding the build on this car when he would be in the store. I've attached a photo when the car was new. He shared with me that he had been "Shakey's" best man at his wedding. Upon Chucks passing, he was given the '70. He sure didn't come out that far ahead dollar wise. Given ALL the fantastic body mods that were done by Neil Emory- a MASTER of bodywork, that car would cost 5 to 10 times the selling price to recreate today.
