Title: Jim Kaforski engine
Post by: flatfire on August 09, 2010, 22:12:02 pm
0-60mph in 4 seconds

For sale a Jim Kaforski built stroker motor.2387cc

This engine was built to run cool on the street and run the numbers at the track.
Built by IMHO one of the most particular, conscientious and clever crafstmen in the VW world.

The engine has seen 1954 miles on the street. It has had a recent round trip form my home to bug jam and we have also travelled to EBI2 and my wife competed in Powder Puff.
Heather my wife was running 15 second 1/4s we adjusted the throttle to suit her comfort zone.
We have also ran a 12.5 on slicks and a 12.7 on treads.
I have calculated that we have ran about 22 1/4 mile runs

The engine was dynoed on Roger Crawford old water brake at 190 hp.
Its a turn key motor obvioulsy supplied with tinware dynamo etc see picture.
This is a fun motor to own it starts first time and will take you anywhere.
