I've got a 1.3 1303 (4.375 R8P) gearbox in my Ghia for sprint purposes :wink:

This means it's going to scream its nuts off on the motorway. The easist way to remedy this is to fit taller rear tyres for road use

My wheels are early 4-stud 5x15 Riviera ET35, and I currently run 205/60 on them (similar height to a 155/15)

I've had both 195/65 & 185/70 on them before with no worries, and I know that 165/15 will fit as well, but to get close to the gearing of the standard 4.125 R&P I'll need at least 185/15 or 215/70 but I'm pretty sure neither of these will fit.

Arches and ride height are both stock, KYBII dampers and Type2 snubbers are the only mods out back.

Any ideas anyone?

You should be able to sneek some 185 70's in there Russ , with the correct offset wheel  ;)
 You need to get that magic 26" diameter tyre for the ratio's to be right  :)

If you've got a 205/60 now and you've got 5mm on each side of the tire to spare, there's no reason a 215/70 wont fit (unless you're low).

I don't know if you saw in my first post, but I've had 185/70s on my current wheels before with no problems

There's at least 5mm clearance on the width, but that 5mm would have to extend up inside the wheelarch to the height of the taller tyre, and this is difficult to measure, especially as I'd need to consider what hapens under suspemsion compression.
I suppose this one might be down to trial & error - unless of course someone out there's already tried and has the answer
