Title: original VW parts that work Post by: nicolas on September 22, 2010, 13:49:02 pm maybe it could be an idea to have a post about orginal VW parts that have stood the test of time and tune and are still the best parts to use today. i know a lot of then are, but maybe it is good to say why it is a good part and what use it is for. especially in high(er) performance engines or more 'cal-look' applications.

Being in the repair/parts business i have to deal with this every day. I buy as much German parts as i can, but its getting harder to do this.

It will be no rocketship, but I am very happy that I am able to retain all of that German quality :)
Title: Re: original VW parts that work Post by: Sam K on September 23, 2010, 02:02:47 am I only use genuine fanshrouds, valve covers and tin on my engines. The only aftetmarket tin that I use is the breast plates with no heater holes but they still need a bunsh of trimming to fit properly.
