Title: Dynamic Compression Ratio
Post by: 65Pearl on September 25, 2010, 06:46:50 am
To which DCR should we aim to when selecting a cam?

Some sources state that the optimum DCR for pump gas for a street driven engine would be 7,1. On some sources the goal is something between 7,5 - 8,5.
I hope guys with first hand knowledge would join the discussion.

Personally, for what it’s worth, I believe the 7,1 is due low octane fuel in US. We do have a bit better fuel in Europe, but with our Euro 98, where should we try plan the DCR?

Cheers
